I am a happy songbird,
little brown and grey songbird,
one of many,
singing your soul song.

I will never cease
in the work of love.
When I die, I will be given
the gentlest of funerals.

I follow my instincts,
to nest and play and love.
And I will always be there,
when you need me the most.
